Starting with a fanfare, which has the First 4 notes of the anthem of Groningen (a province of Holland and called: ‘Grönns Laid’), you will be fooled. After this stately opening, this piece goes to a quick en swinging tempo and uses the same anthem. Influences from the barock-era are included in this piece of music. A Dollard Prelude was the tune of the radio programme ‘FANFARIA’, made by RTV Noord Broadcast Company.
